children live in a country affected by conflict or disaster.
We work in some of the world¹ú²úÊÓƵ™s most challenging environments to give children and young people the best start in life.
Donate to support children in conflict
Gaza’s youngest are growing up without the nutrition, care, safety and early learning they need during the first five years of life ¹ú²úÊÓƵ“ when 90% of brain development takes place.
¹ú²úÊÓƵ has opened 12 temporary early learning centres across Gaza to restore education, play and hope, but we need to reach more children.
A small investment, in the littlest children, can have a big impact. Donate today and help give every child a safe place to learn.

I used to wait for night to come, hoping that she would be tired enough to fall asleep, because I did not know how to help her get through the day.
Haneen, talking about her daughter Kawthar (5)
For many children displaced by the conflict in Gaza, ¹ú²úÊÓƵ’s early learning centres provide the first opportunity since war began to learn alongside other children, follow a daily routine and simply play.Ìý
Five-year-old Kawthar’s family was repeatedly displaced during the conflict. She struggled to sleep and was terrified that something would happen to her family. Enrolling at one of our new centres gave her confidence, and she started playing again. Her mother, Haneen, said: “The centre is very special and supports our children in moving beyond the terror and fear.”
