Christmas Carol Concert with Ashley John Baptiste and Kathy Lette

¹ú²úÊÓÆµ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s 2025 Carol concert drew a great crowd full of festive cheer after a long difficult year for children¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s education in crisis zones. Readers included Ashley John-Baptiste and Kathy Lette, who highlighted the importance of amplifying women¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s voices. We were also joined by Shazia Ramzan who beautifully read Maya Angelou¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem, calling on people of all faiths, and none, to think of children affected by conflict as the year drew to a close.

Blackadder Christmas Appeal

Our 2025 Christmas appeal was strong, with Richard Curtis and Emma Freud, two great champions of ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ, kindly gifting us with a rare script from an un-filmed Christmas Special, and an original studio script complete with handwritten notes from the unforgettable episode Blackadder Goes Forth: Corporal Punishment, which features long-time ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ supporter Sir Stephen Fry. The auction prompted good-natured exchanges between the pair on social media, and along with coverage from The Times, brought us our successful bidder.

Stephen Mangan hosts the 2025 Reed Smith charity quiz

Stephen Mangan hosted the 21st annual Reed Smith quiz night for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ at the Andaz Hotel. With quiz questions from Matt Lucas, David Tennant and Helen Castor and topics ranging from History to Arts & Literature to Business, it was a fiercely competitive and enjoyable evening.

Act for Early Years event with ambassadors Anika Noni Rose and Audley Harrison MBE

A joint ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ and UNICEF event at the 2025 UN General Assembly week in New York mobilized the Act for Early Years campaign and brought together key ambassadors including Anika Noni Rose and Audley Harrison MBE.

Summer reception at Dover House

Actors Bill Nighy, Dougray Scott, Claire Forlani, Ingrid Oliver and Matt Lucas joined us with a host of supporters at Dover House in Westminster for the ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ summer reception. A warm welcome from Scottish Secretary Rt Hon Ian Murray MP and uplifting speech from Global Youth Ambassador, Lynda Nakaibale, offered cheer in difficult times whilst guests enjoyed the view overlooking historic Horseguards Parade.

Christmas Carol Concert with Stephen Mangan and Celia Imrie

Our annual carol concert in 2024 hosted a full church in full voice at St Botolph¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s without Bishopsgate addressed by Fr David with readings from Celia Imrie and Ashley John-Baptiste while actor Stephen Mangan read from Charles Dickens¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™ own version for live performances of A Christmas Carol.

¹ú²úÊÓÆµ supporters joined together for a photo for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ back at Winfield House in December 2024 ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ“ Kathy Lette gathered her well known friends and ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ supporters to give a shout out to ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ including Matt Lucas, June Sarpong and Richard Osman with ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ Chair, Sarah Brown.

Richard Curtis auctions signed Love Actually Script for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ

Love Actually is a festive favourite to watch and in 2024 Richard Curtis donated a signed film script and lots of great memorabilia raising valuable funds for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ.

Big Give 2024 with Arabella, Audley, Bill, Joan and June

¹ú²úÊÓÆµ has joined the Big Give to double donations with our super supporter Stuart Roden. This year we had huge support from Bill Nighy, Audley Harrison, Joan Armatrading, June Sarpong and Arabella Weir who helped us raise an amazing £80,000 for three Early Years projects.
