Reed Smith charity quiz hosted by Stephen Fry

The quizmaster of quizmasters Stephen Fry hosted the 20th annual quiz night 2024 for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ hosted by law firm Reed Smith at the Andaz Hotel highlighting our work for 1.5millions Ukrainian children and teachers. With tricky quiz questions coming in the sports section from Clare Balding and Audley Harrison MBE (with a glimpse of his Olympic Gold medal), it was a competitive night for the teams.

New York Early Years breakfast opened by Nick Kristof

120 Early Years organisations and champions gathered at the 2024 UN Meetings in New York to galvanise ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s Act for Early Years campaign and were all inspired to greater action by New York Times¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™ Pulitzer Prize winning writer Nick Kristof.

Marlborough House reception with Rt Hon Baroness Scotland KC

The Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland invited ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ Global Youth Ambassadors to learn more about the work and reach of The Commonwealth and followed this by hosting a spectacular reception for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ supporters at the historic and beautiful Marlborough House in Pall Mall, London in June 2024.

¹ú²úÊÓÆµ Your Walk with Joan Armatrading MBE

Joan Armatrading took time away from preparing her new album to walk 300,000 miles for ¹ú²úÊÓÆµ Your Walk in 2024 to support delivering learning-ready laptops for Ukrainian children whilst displaced from their home and country. Long serving trustee Arabella Weir joined in the walk keeping pace with the step count too. Schools and businesses around the UK also signed up for this fun and active annual June fundraiser.

The 2023 carol concert marked a more sombre tone as we recognised new conflicts around the world affecting children¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s futures, but there was joy with the singing and readings, and some laughter at Matt Lucas¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™ reading from his book, The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas.

Reed Smith charity quiz with BBC¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s Ros Atkins

The 2023 annual fundraising quiz was hosted by the BBC¹ú²úÊÓÆµ™s Analysis Editor, Ros Atkins famed for his Explainers on newsworthy topics. He steered the quiz with contributions from David Tennant and Rosie Jones with great skills effortlessly through one tiny tech glitch as you would expect from an experienced live presenter.
