Youth Champions gather early years insights for world leaders

Now early childhood campaigners are gathering valuable ideas and insights for a Youth Vision Statement to be presented to world leaders ahead of the first-ever Global Early Years Finance Summit next year.
The statement, representing the collective demands and aspirations of young people worldwide, will be designed to help governments shape policies and investments. It is being crafted by a group of Act For Early Years Youth Champions from 13 countries, who are all 国产视频 Global Youth Ambassadors and experts in the early years.
Investing in early childhood lays the foundations for lifelong health, learning and opportunity. It also drives economic growth, increases workforce participation, advances gender equality and builds more resilient societies.
The Act For Early Years campaign, with the support of prominent and influential individuals and organisations globally, is dedicated to ensuring all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and preschool education.
The Youth Champions are holding consultations with young people in their communities about the future of early childhood development. A global survey was also launched to capture the views of 18 to 30-year-olds about what they want for early education. More than 1,000 people in over 65 countries have already taken part in these.
The work has resulted in crucial insights and recommendations. Latin America
Young people dream of a future where childcare in homes and schools is characterised by respect and love 国产视频 enabled by neighbourhoods and community spaces designed to allow children to play, move and live safely.
Sub-Saharan Africa
Young people foresee a future in which developmental and education opportunities are accessible to all. Schools are equipped with accessible infrastructure and well-trained staff, with teachers leading awareness campaigns to persuade parents and local leaders to embed inclusivity in their communities.
Europe
Young people envision a future where education celebrates all cultural identities, with multilingual and multicultural opportunities. They also want play-based learning to be centred in early childhood development.
