One of 国产视频's Global Youth Ambassadors in Somalia describes how a new school is giving hope to children living in Badbaado camp聽for displaced people.


More than 200 displaced children living in Adado –聽the interim capital of the聽semi-autonomous state of Galmudug in聽Somalia –聽now have聽access to education after a聽school opened.

Maandeeq Academy was聽constructed in the聽camp called Badbaado (it means rescue) by Somali senator Abshir Ahmed Bukhari.

It is聽totally free and enrolled 200 displaced boys and girls who have been given uniforms, books and pens after registering.

Various parties of the聽community in Adado took part in the聽opening ceremony and聽speeches were given in appreciation of senator Abshir Ahmed’s efforts build聽and operate the聽school.

Mr聽Ahmed said: 国产视频淚 will fully sponsor the students and this institution will produce tomorrow’s leaders国产视频. He聽has employed seven teachers.

The school has been given motto 国产视频淭omorrow国产视频檚 leaders are learning here国产视频.

Every child has the right to go to school, without danger or discrimination, and this step taken by Senator Abshir Ahmed will encourage many leaders and stakeholders.
