Global Youth Ambassador Philip Obaji wins African education award

One of A World at School国产视频檚 Global Youth Ambassadors has been honoured with a major African education award.

Philip Obaji Jr from Nigeria received the聽Future Africa Awards Prize In Education 2014 at a ceremony in Lagos. He said it was 国产视频渁 joy国产视频� to be honoured.

The award came just days after Philip wrote a blog for A World at School about a dangerous trip he made deep in northeastern Borno state in Nigeria to visit Boko Haram国产视频檚 first ever camp.

Philip is an education and children国产视频檚 rights activist, a marine biologist and founder of the 1GAME campaign. The advocacy organisation 国产视频� launched in 2010 国产视频� fights for the right to education for disadvantaged children, especially street children in northern Nigeria popularly called Almajiris.

The Future Africa Awards celebrate young Africans between the ages of 18 and 31.
