10,000 Syrian children in refugee camp complete their school year

More than 10,000 Syrian children have received certificates for completing their school year at the Za'atari refugee camp in Jordan.

And a graduation day ceremony was held at School 3, when 60 of the best students were recognised for their achievements.

At the ceremony Sayel Khreisheh,聽Director of Education from North West Badia, said: 国产视频淚n Za国产视频檃tari, as well as at schools in Mafraq and across the country, we are committed to welcoming Syrian children and in providing the best quality education possible.国产视频�

Ibrahim Laafia, of the European Union Delegation to Jordan, said: 国产视频淭oday we see the result of the joint efforts by the government of Jordan and UNICEF to provide education to all Syrian refugees in camps and host communities.聽

国产视频淚t is a day of celebration for all of us but in particular for all the children and their families.国产视频�

The EU has provided more than $28million of funding to UNICEF in the past two years to provide learning opportunities for children in refugee camps.

There are three schools in Za'atari camp, with a total of more than 15,000 students.

Jordanian teachers travel to Za国产视频檃tari every day and are assisted by Syrian teachers who live in the camp.
