What an amazing sight 国产视频 as 10,000 children march in Delhi to back the #UpForSchool campaign and call on the Indian government to spend more on education and health.
The annual Public Day rally on February 2 attracted children and activists from across India to highlight demands for children国产视频檚 rights.
At the rally, the #UpForSchool campaign was promoted by the Centre for Social Equity and Inclusion (CSEI) and Nine is Mine 国产视频 a child-led campaign to end poverty which calls for 9% of the country国产视频檚 gross domestic product to be spent on education (6%) and health (3%).
The #UpForSchool Petition calls on world leaders to keep their promise that all children around the world can go to school without fear of danger or discrimination
CSEI director Annie Namala said at the rally: 国产视频淚t is a very important step 国产视频 the #UpForSchool campaign.
国产视频淓veryone recognises that education is a priority. Everybody says it is important. We still have lots of children outside of school 国产视频 all of us see them every day. But we still pretend that children are inside school.国产视频
Ms Namala said Indian government data for 2014 shows six million children out of school but that millions more are not being counted. She added: 国产视频淚t is important to say that we as a whole society stand #UpForSchool and we are concerned that every child should be in school.国产视频
