The Doughty Family Foundation

The Doughty Family Foundation have partnered with us through a multi-year £50,000 contribution to the Jennifer Brown Research Laboratory (JBRL), to improve our understanding of how we can better help newborn babies in those first crucial hours and days after birth.

The Doughty Family¹ú²úÊÓƵ™s support continues to allow JBRL to conduct a world-first study monitoring the progress of 400 babies, both premature and full term, from birth to adulthood. Using a state-of-the-art MRI scanner, the ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Edinburgh Birth Cohort compares cognitive developmental patterns to make groundbreaking discoveries that could help find new ways to prevent and treat brain injury in preterm babies.

We are grateful to the Doughty Family Foundation for their vital support of our research over the years and their commitment to the importance of the early years and ensuring every child has the best start in life.

As a ¹ú²úÊÓƵ Trustee and donor, I believe in the impact the organisation makes for young children throughout the world. From the projects I have seen firsthand, ¹ú²úÊÓƵ is unlocking big change.
